Day 1

Arrive Katra
Pick from katra / Jammu railway station or airport and transfer to hotel. Check into the hotel & relax. Evening is free at leisure. Overnight stay at Katra.

Day 2

Katra – Vaisnodevi Darshan – Katra
Early breakfast, start your Holy Journey to Mata Vaisnodevi Darshan by foot. Mata Vaishno Devi temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Shakti and is the second most visited religious shrine in India after Tirupati Balaji Temple. Trek to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine (14 km), ponies can also be arranged by self (at your own cost) for the trek, return back to Katra late in evening/night. Overnight stay at hotel in Katra.

Day 3

Katra – Pahalgam (245 kms / 7-8 hours)
After breakfast, proceed to Pahalgam, also called the Valley of Shepherds. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. In Pahalgam, admire the beauty of nature as you walk along the banks of River Lidder. Pahalgam is also famous for some trekking routes and is the base camp for the Amarnath Pilgrimage. overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4

In Pahalgam Sightseeing in Pahalgam Aru, Chandanwari and Betab Valley 2-3 hrs
After Breakfast sightseeing in Pahalgam by union local vehicle .visit Chandanwari at 2,895 m and 16 km (10 miles) from Pahalgam, is the starting point of the Amamath yatra. The road from Pahalgam to Chandanwari is curvy, sometimes a relatively flat terrain, with quite a few steep curves. It can be undertaken by car (not busses and trucks for most part) with some skilled driving. From Chandanwari onwards the track becomes much steeper, being accessible on foot or by pony only. 11 km from Chandanwari is the mountain lake of Sheshnag, after which, 13 km away is the last stop, Panchtarni. A narrow spiralling path from Panchtarni leads to the Amarnath Cave. ARU A small village, 11 kms upstream the Lidder River, is a beautiful locality. The route is picturesque with ample campsites. This village is the starting point for treks to the Kolahoi glacier.This charming meadow can be reached by walking along a mountain path. The river Lidder disappears at Gur Khumb and reappears after 27 mts. One can enjoy horse ride or visit betab valley. Betaab Valley, situated just 7 km up on Pahalgam, has got its name from Sunny Deol’s movie, Betaab, which was shot extensively in this area. Surrounded by snow-covered mountain peaks and dense pine and deodar forests, this valley is the mouth of River Sheshnag. There is a beautiful garden in the valley, with a bridge to cross the river. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5

Pahalgam / Gulmarg (145 Kms/ 4 ½ Hours Drive)
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg-the Meadow of Flowers, which is situated at an altitude of 2730 m above the sea level. The distance between Pahalgam to Gulmarg is approximately 145 km and it takes 4 ½ hrs drive from Pahalgam to reach Gulmarg. Gulmarg is one of India's premier hill resorts. Upon arrival check in at Hotel. Gulmarg is a place of exceptional beauty and has the world's highest green golf course and also turns into India's premier ski resort in winter. Gulmarg offers breathtaking views of majestic Nanga Parbat on a clear day. Gondola ride ist phase in Gulmarg. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 6

Gulmarg / Srinagar (52 kms approx./ 2 hrs drive)
After breakfast leave for Srinagar upon arrival check in at the Houseboat AN; Shikara ride on Dal Lake is one of the most prominent lakes of India. Dotted with numerous beautiful sights, the city looks amazing in a canopy of landscaped flowering gardens, crystal clear lakes, magnificent structures, and bustling markets. Amidst the heavenly view of a serene sheet of water, stands Srinagar’s jewel, Dal Lake. This hillside lake is synonymous with the carved colorful wooden houseboats drifting casually through the placid waters and the misty peaks of the neighboring Pir Panjal Mountains. The beauty of this pristine lake, spanning over 22 square kilometers, grows bountiful around every corner. Engulfed in this beautiful world, lies one of the most exhilarating things to do in Srinagar, taking a ride on the ‘Shikara’ or the small wooden carved boat, usually seen at Dal Lake. overnight stay at houseboat.

Day 7

Srinagar / Sonamarg / Srinagar (87 KMS ONE WAY/ Approx. 3 hrs drive)
After Breakfast Check out and Proceed to Sonamarg for full day excursion..The distance of about 96 km will be covered about 3 hrs. Sonamarg lies at the head of the Sindh valley. The drive through here presents a spectacular facet of the countryside. Sonamarg is surrounded by mountains and pine forests. There are attractive walks and option of pony ride to the Thajiwas Glacier.Thajiwas is located after a short and interesting walk from Sonamarg. Thajiwas is known for the glaciers. The miniature plateaus, snowfields, pines and islets adds to the charm of Thajiwas.Full Day enjoy in Sonamarg.The Drive to sonamarg is through the sindh Valley which presents another face of the countryside in Kashmir and has snowy mountains in its backdrop. Sonamarg is the main base for the treks that passes along several mountain lakes like the Vishansar, Kishansar, Gadsar, Satsar and Gangabal. Sonamarg is also the major point for the drive to Ladakh across the Zoji La pass. Sonamarg is also a base for undertaking the yatra to the holy Amarnath cave. The Sindh River that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and mahaseer. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer months.Evening return back to the Srinagar check in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8

Srinagar
After Breakfast ` visit famous Mughal Gardens Mughal Gardens Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) was built by Asif Khan, brother of Empress Noorjehan in 1632 AD. Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) was built by Jehangir for his wife Noor Jehan. Situated on the bank of Dal Lake, these gardens are overlooked by picturesque Zabarwan Mountains.
AN; Trip to Shankaracharya Temple. Shankaracharya Temple is also known as the Jyesteshwara temple or Pas-Pahar by Buddhists. It is on top of the Shankaracharya Hill (also called Hill of Solomon) on the Zabarwan Mountain in Srinagar, Kashmir. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva (Shri Shiv Ji). The temple is at a height of 1,000 feet (300 m) above the plain and overlooks the city of Srinagar.The temple dates to 200 BC, although the present structure probably dates to the 9th century AD. It was visited by Adi Shankara and has ever since been associated with him; this is how the temple got the name Shankaracharya. Return back to hotel, overnight in Hotel
